Celebration of Swarasati Puja in Sydney

Bangladesh Puja Association Australia celebrated Swarasati Puja on the 27^th of Jan 2007, at IMAR Community Hall at Croydon. The Bangladeshi Hindu community observes the festival on a grand scale each year in Sydney, usually with a huge turnout. Throughout the day, there was a special prayer for Durga, childrens’ art competition, HSC entrants’ reception and a cultural program. The organisers are very happy with the successful event. Tempestra Entertainment presented Bappa Majumder in a New Year Concert on 6^th January, 2007 at Marana Auditorium, Hurstville. Tempestra is a well known band group in Sydney. Bangladeshi Christian Society Celebrated X-Mas

The Bangladesh Christian Society celebrated Christmas on the 25^th of December at Rockdale in the St. Joseph Auditorium. All the Bangladeshi Christian community came to the party along with many invited guests from the Bangladeshi community. There was a very nice lunch organised for everyone followed by a cultural program by the kids and many performers. The program ended with the distribution of presents among the kids by Santa Clause.
