The BUET-87 Alumni met at Nurragingy Reserve on the 24th of February 2007. It was an excellent reunion. This is the 2nd time the BUET-87 alumni were able to meet at Sydney. It’s terrific that almost everyone was able to attend the gathering. The alumni along with their families and kids enjoyed a good time together, filled with fun. Everyone feels proud to be a part of a family friendship. The Alumni has agreed to meet quarterly and maintain their friendship for years to come. I’m really proud to be with all my friends here in Sydney. Photos... Archives... Ekushe Academy Australia, Boi Mela-2007
Ekushe Academy Australia organised an Ekushe-book fair on the 24th of February at Ashfield Park as they do every year. Ekushe February is a very special occasion for the Bangladeshi community. The 21st of February has been recognised as International Mother Language Day so this day is now well known all over the world. There were many distinguished guests present at the mela including the chief guest, Bangladesh High Commissioner H.E. M. Humyan Kabir. Though there was some rain during the day, the program continued as planned. This year, there were huge crowds and the bookstalls were very busy. During the day there were many programs and activities, such as speeches, performances from musical groups, dances, and poetry recitations. The organisers were very happy with the success of the mela. Photos.. Sent By: Abdul Jalil Sent By: Qaiyum Parvez 3rd Bangabandhu Society/Parishad in Sydney Details.. |
