MEETING ENGR, DR ZAKIUDDIN OF CHEVRON (Ex BUET Teacher).
Engr Zakiuddin Hossain, PHD, Manager/Team Lead for Chevron Intl. is a Specialist Measurement engineer for oil and gas industry for last 28 years. For last few years he is involved with precision instruments of Gorgon LPNG Project. A joint venture of Commonwealth of Australia and Chevron.
Dr Zaki has passed his SSC & HSC from Faujdarhat Cadet College with distinction in 1964.
He graduated from BUET Mechanical Department in 1968 and joined as a Lecturer in Mechanical Department in 1969 and was a teacher till 1975 when he left for USA for higher studies.
Dr Zaki has traveled the world where ever there is gas and oil to be drilled or being drilled to measure and calibrate the flow of gas and oil to the the rigs (this includes Bangladesh and the neighboring countries)
He has decided to retire as long hours of travel has become more arduous for him than his work which will limit his visit to Australia.
Dr Zaki will be arriving in Sydney on 16 August 2016 (Tuesday) and leaving on 19 August 2016 (Friday). He is interested to meet batch mates, (of any faculty), colleagues from BUET or students so he can go back the memory lane reminiscing those golden years.
Even if you were no his student, batch mate or not a teacher in those year you still can meet him.
