popular writer, dramatist and journalist, Anisul Hoque, toured in Australia for two weeks in November, 2007. On the duration of his visit he attended programs in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra, and met many of his BUET friends. Anisul Hoque is very popular in both Bangladesh and abroad, and is a household name in Bangladesh. Throughout his program, he spoke with the audience and kept them captivated with his reflective and humorous presentation. He liked Australia and expressed his satisfaction in being here.
Anisul Hoque ranked 4th in the SSC and 8th in the HSC from the Rajshahi Board, and then graduated from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, in civil engineering. His inspiration in journalism and writing started during his student life. After graduating, he joined the government to serve as an employee but resigned after only fifteen days, and later started working as a journalist. Currently, Hoque is working as a Deputy Editor of Prothom Alo.
