Boishaki Mela at Olympic Park, 2013
Bangabandhu Council Australia organised a Boishaki Mela on the 2oth of April 2013, at Homebush Olympic Park Athletics Centre. There were many stalls nicely decorated around the Athletic track. It was raining from the morning through mid -afternoon but rain cleared in the afternoon. During the day there were numerous programs such as speeches, recitations, cultural groups and local artists. Few artists came from Bangladesh. The mela ended with some fireworks display
