"Al Hamdhu Lillah, the fund raising dinner for Parramtta Mosque Project held on 27th April was a great success. It was attended by many including representatives of Prime Minister of Australia and Premier of NSW, Lord Mayor of Parramatta and the famous rugby league prayer Mr. Hazem El-Masri. Speakers included Sheikh Tawfique Choudhury, Sheikh Tajuddin Hilali and Sheikh Abdus-salam Zoud. A total of $245,000 including donation, commitment and interest free loan was raised on that night giving an overall total of $745,000 (about a third of the total money required)
collected so far for the Project. Still need one million dollars more to pay at the time of key hand over expected to be in August, 2008. We urge all Muslims to support further in making the Parramatta Mosque a reality.
