Bangladesh Association of NSW Annual Cultural Night 

Bangladesh Association of NSW organised the annual cultural night, as they do every year, at Parramatta Town Hall on 30^th July 2005. There were many people who came to the function. The program started with speeches from invited guests including many High officials and guests who were present there such as The Bangladesh High Commissioner, H.E Ashraf-Ud Doula, Parramatta Federal MP Julie Owens and many others. After the speeches, the Cricket Tournament Prizes were presented with a dinner break following the trophy presentation. Ferdous Ara, a famous singer of Bangladesh, sang some popular Nazrul Geeti and Modern Bangla songs after the intermission.. Photos...

The good news is that 100% fund has been collected for Hridoy's treatment. The final figure will exceed the latest estimated figure of 80 Lakh Taka. It's also good to see that more than 50% was donated by the people living outside Bangladesh. Campbelltown Bangla School Annual Cultural Night

Campbelltown Bangla School arranged an annual cultural night on the 23^rd July, 2005 at James Meehan High School Auditorium. The program started with speeches delivered by many invited high officials and the Bangladesh High Commissioner, H.E. Ashraf-Ud Doula. This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the open competition and then the childrens’ program, which included singing, dancing and poetry recitations. Postcolonial light on three Bengali playtexts

There is no full-length investigation of post-coloniality in Bangladeshi Bengali literature. This is partly because Bangladesh had no separate identity under colonial rule, being just another part of greater India. Then at partition, it became one section of the unnatural union that was Pakistan. These two identities have kept Bangladesh as a relatively unknown domain, at least to the Western academy. The other reason in the context of literary postcolonial studies is that these have concentrated on writing in English, whereas Bangladeshi literature is almost completely in the national language. This study offers a discussion of the post-coloniality of contemporary Bangladeshi theatre via analysis of selected playtexts. You are invited to visit the following website:
