The play was called “Khalaram”. The night started off with the presentation of speeches given by the organisers and High Commissioner of Bangladesh. This was followed by a cultural function in which some dances and a flute solo were performed. After this, the drama started, starring artists from Bangladesh as well as some local artists. At the end of the drama, there was an interview held with the artists from Bangladesh in which the audience was allowed to ask any questions they wished to have answered. Photos... Ashfield Park. As far it is known, this monument will be the first
ever "International
Mother Language Monument" in
the world. The construction will be done in consultation with and
with the prior approval of Ashfield Council. A contract will be signed
