Well known writer & Columnist Mr. Ajay Das Gupta’s mother Mrs. Provaboti Das Gupta passed away 17 Oct 2011 at 10.30pm at the age of  at the age of 86 at her residence in Chittagong. She was suffering from old age related complications. Mr. Ajay Das Gupta went to see her mother few weeks back and in a great grief losing the light of his life. She left behind 4 daughters and 1 son and 5 grandchildren.
